Xinlin Li Morrow is a strategic trial lawyer with deep experience in complex business and IP disputes. Ms. Morrow regularly guides companies and individuals through high-stakes disputes arising from breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, IP infringement, and trade secrets misappropriation, consistently delivering exceptional results for her clients.
Beyond civil matters, Ms. Morrow defends business leaders in federal and state criminal investigations and actions, leveraging her experience as a former prosecutor.
Before co-founding Morrow Ni LLP, Ms. Morrow practiced law at national litigation powerhouses Irell & Manella and Hueston Hennigan. Prior to private practice, Ms. Morrow spent a year as an attorney fellow at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, where she helped prosecute gang-related murders. Ms. Morrow also served as a special prosecutor at the Anaheim City Attorney’s Office and successfully obtained guilty verdicts in two misdemeanor trials as lead counsel.
Ms. Morrow is also active in the community. She is the President of Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association (LAIPLA) and a board member of Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center (APADRC).
Each year since 2015, Super Lawyers Magazine has recognized Ms. Morrow as a “Rising Star.” In 2023, Super Lawyers Magazine also named Ms. Morrow as "Up-and-Coming 25” in Orange County and “Up-and-Coming 50 Women” in Southern California.

Business Disputes
Representing a co-founder of a $6 billion joint venture in a breach of contract and fraud case.
Representing a group of investors who lost over $30 million in a Ponzi scheme in a fraud case.
Represented a prominent businesswoman in an $11 million breach of contract and fraud case. Obtained summary adjudication of the breach of contract claim for the full demand and favorable settlement of the entire case.
Served as plaintiff’s lead counsel at a bench trial and won the full amount of requested damages on breach of contract and unjust enrichment claims between former business partners.
Defending a prominent businessman in actions brought under Uniform Foreign Money-Judgments Recognition Act (UFCMJRA) to enforce foreign judgments for over $10 million.
Represented a real estate developer in a fraud and breach of fiduciary duty action involving over $8 million.
IP Disputes
Defending an artificial intelligence company in a copyright infringement lawsuit involving novel questions of copyright law.
Defending a manufacturer in a patent infringement lawsuit involving solar inverter technology.
Defending an artificial intelligence company in a patent infringement lawsuit involving a software patent.
Represented d.bleu.dazzled in a trade dress infringement and fraud action against Khloe Kardashian and Good American LLC. Defeated Ms. Kardashian and Good American's Anti-SLAPP motion and obtained a favorable settlement.
Represented ClearOne in a patent infringement action relating to installed audio-conferencing technology against Shure. Secured a preliminary injunction against Shure.
Served as trial counsel for T-Mobile in a three-week jury trial in Seattle, winning verdicts on misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of contract claims against Huawei Devices USA.
Obtained over $740 million for TiVo in patent infringement settlements.
Represented cancer immunotherapy company Juno Therapeutics in a breach of contract and patent infringement action against Novartis, which led to a $12 million settlement.
Represented medical device company Masimo in a patent infringement and antitrust case against Shenzhen Mindray.
Represented Peloton in a patent infringement action against Flywheel relating to Peloton’s category-creating bike.
Defended BlackBerry in patent infringement actions and obtained favorable settlements.
Represented Core Wireless in patent infringement actions against LG and obtained favorable verdicts as to all asserted claims and full damages sought.
Represented an e-commerce company in a trademark infringement and unfair competition (UCL) lawsuit.
White Collar Criminal Defense and Investigations
Represented a businessman in a state criminal investigation of campaign finance fraud as lead counsel and successfully avoided criminal prosecution.
Represented a Fortune 500 executive facing allegations of Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA) violations and insider trading and money laundering charges in parallel civil and criminal proceedings.
Represented a five-star Hollywood hotel in multiple highly publicized civil forfeiture actions brought by the U.S. Department of Justice based on the underlying criminal charge of money laundering.
Represented an executive in a federal criminal investigation related to illegal importation, money laundering, and tax fraud.
Represented a director of a NASDAQ-listed biotech company in a securities fraud investigation by the SEC.

Successfully appealed a FEMA decision for a family whose home in the American Samoa was destroyed by Hurricane Gita.
Obtained default judgment and favorable settlement for a veteran who was defrauded out of his home through a loan modification scam.
Obtained a U visa for an undocumented immigrant who assisted law enforcement in the investigation and prosecution of a sex crime against a child.
