Securities Litigation

• We are among the few firms in the country with experience both defending and prosecuting large scale class action securities litigation under both federal and state securities laws.  As such, we are intimately familiar the methods and tactics of both the plaintiff and defense bars.

• Our specialization in complex securities litigation, combined with our ability to litigate natively in Chinese, led to the first (and to our knowledge, the only) federal court securities class action dismissal opinion in which the court referenced Chinese language briefing directly. The opinion is Thomas v. China Techfaith Wireless Communication Technology Limited et al., Case No. 1:19-cv-00134-FB-CLP. (E.D.N.Y) (July 7, 2021).

• We have litigated three of the leading securities class actions in the cryptocurrency industry, Tezos, Atonomi, and FEI-TRIBE. These actions, against a layer-one protocol, an ICO, and an decentralized stablecoin project, span the range of cryptocurrency.

Judgment Enforcement

• Achieved recognition of the sixth Chinese judgment ever to be recognized in the U.S., and the first in Washington State.

White Collar Defense and Internal Investigations

• Our attorneys have conducted large scale internal investigations on behalf of major trans-national corporations, including in response to inquiries by the U.S. Department of Justice and various U.S. attorneys’ offices.
