Sherry Yu

Sherry Yu is a litigator with experience handling a wide array of complex commercial litigation and white-collar defense matters in both state and federal courts. Sherry has advised clients on disputes relating to contracts, securities, antitrust, derivatives, class action, and labor and employment. Additionally, Sherry has represented clients in front of government agencies and the Congress on sensitive investigation matters, and conducted internal investigations and policy review.
Sherry received a J.D. with honors from Georgetown University Law Center in 2020, where they competed on Georgetown's Top 10 nationally ranked Trial Advocacy team, and served as a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic. During law school, Sherry also interned for Judge Tonya Jones Bosier in the D.C. Superior Court. Before joining Morrow Ni LLP, Sherry practiced at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in its litigation department.
Sherry is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and English, is conversational in Cantonese and Wu Chinese (Shanghainese), has advanced level proficiency in Japanese, and intermediate level proficiency in French and Latin.

Represented a large cosmetics chain in a class action alleging fraudulent advertising of products in New York state court.
Represented board of directors of a S&P 100 financial services company in a class action alleging breach of fiduciary duty in New York state court.
Represented a global insurance company in a class action alleging breach of fiduciary duty in California state court.
Represented a major financial services company in an antitrust matter alleging market monopoly.
Represented multiple companies against former employees alleging workplace discrimination and retaliation.
Represented a nonprofit organization in a Congressional investigation related to alleged undue influence in lawmaking.
Represented a business management firm in a DOJ investigation alleging tax fraud.
Represented a multinational insurance company in review of its whistleblower policy.
